Why do you think some people, like Cloyd, lose control when they're angry, while others, like Walter, stop before things get out of hand? What does it take to stay in control?
I think that people like Cloyd are young and have lost quite a lot, and they are very angry because a terrible thing has happened to them. They have no way of showing their feelings. Where as people like Walter have lost some and have had more experience with mistakes and consequenses. Therefore, I think that it takes experience to stay in control of your anger. Alaina <3
I think that people like cloyd lose control easier because cloyd doesnt have as much pationse as walter. Also what it takes to stay in control I think is a loving family becasue you know what the limits are but when you dont have a good family then you dont know when you are going to far. I think that people like Cloyd lose control really easily when they're angry because they have gone through things that other people might have not gone through. When they get reminded about it, they lose it. I also think that people like Walter stop before things get worse because they don't want to get more into the situation. Danielle Q.

I think that people like Cloyd lose control when they are angry because they cannot control their feelings. If it is a calm situation or something HUGE has happened to them. I also think that Cloyd had it tough growing up because he wasn't taught to stay calm and remain patient. However, Walter, on the other hand, was taught and probably just has that kind of personality that is gentle and easy-going. I do also think that it takes experience to stay in control. :) -Serena

I think people lose control because they didn't have a good childhood or good parents. Or like Walter, they have just a calm personality. Becky :o)

I think it's the majority of the people that get mad all the time. Also, some teenagers grew up with a bad childhood. The reason I think this is because those kids or people haven't been taught manners. That's why think people can lose control. :)

Because he feels so sorry for himself that he thinks "haven't I had a bad enough life" ~josh

I think since Cloyd is younger and doesn't have as much experience with everything he can't handle it as well also i think he has had kind of a bad past living in a group home and everything it may be hard to control yourself. Walter had a pretty good life farming with his wife. And then when his wife died, of course it was hard for him but he got over it eventually and has definatley had a better life than Cloyd because Cloyd felt like nobody loved him and he didn't really belong, cause he lived in a group home. That's why i think Cloyd would get more mad than Walter in any situation. ~Olivia

Because he's growing up with a harder life than others. Walter might have had a easier time growing up and plus adults seem to control their temper a little better than children.

Maybe because Cloyd has so much anger because of all the things that have happened in his life so it's harder to gain control.

Really, I think Cloyd's anger is because of Walters calmness. When he sees somebody so calm when something bad happens and Cloyd gets angry, him seeing Walter makes him feel like Walter doesn't care. And I truly don't know how Walter keeps his cool. I definitely could never do that! It's Amazing! Gleek Winston

I personally think that cloyde gets angry by little things because no one ever taught him the right way. Walter has had his pareother people to show him the right way and how to control his anger. He never really was taught the ways of life basically. He roamed and did things his own way.~ Alexa Holland

I think some people like cloyd get angry because they don't know right from wrong. I think Walter can stay more in control because he's older and has had more experience with these type of things. It takes calmness and patience to stay in control because you dont want to scream at them because then their going to do the same reaction to you.

I think Cloyd gets angry easier because he didn't have a good childhood, and he doesn't think about what he's doing before he does it. Cloyd never had anyone to love or to be friends with. On the other hand Walter had the best time with his wife and he knows to think about the things he does. It all comes down to muturity.

I think Cloyd grew up with not a lot of guidence, or a lot of help. So he never learned to stop and think. On the other hand Walter was taught to stop and think well in the middle. Ways to help ita is just to think the whole problem through. Libby K.

i think some people loose their temper because they are jelous or like Cloyd he thought that walter had enough things. but i think that people like walter stay calm because they will feel guilty later.

I think Cloyd gets out of control easier because he's younger and hasn't really had the experience like Walter has so Walter doesn't get out of control as much as Cloyd will. ~Madi B
